Going at it again… hoping for one day to win one of these challenges 🙂 Anyway… The throwback challenge was to use the Wild Card cartridge for a holiday… well my parents 43 wedding anniversary is a big holiday for us! so here is my card. I also made a video to show how it was made.
365 Cards Challenge – Day 129 – Aged Look Card
I love 365 Cards Challenges because they always give me a visual image to work with. I did an “old” Victorian house using the Heritage cartridge. I folded an 8.5 x 11″ sheet in half from Colorbook – yellow paper – and cut the light blue layer from a piece of scrap I also had from Colorbook pastels. The layer is 5″ X 8″. The house is found on page 39 and was cut at 4.5″ I embossed with my Cuttlebug using the Houndstooth folder. I distressed the house using Martha Steward metallic inks. I cut my own curtains and the “stained glass” in the windows with older scraps from Martha Steward glitter paper. Here is mine take on the “old” challenge:
Throwback Thursday Challange- My Creative Time
Like the night owl I am… my inspiration came late tonight. I was thinking about it the whole weekend so here is my entry.
Materials:
Green paper in the card (8.5 x 11″ – folded in half) by The Paper Company
Yellow paper: Potpourri value cardstock from Big Lots – cut at 5: x 8″
Bassinet paper: Pastels by Colorbook – Cut using CD Studio at 4.5″ x 5″ tall
A Star is Born – tag by Paper Bliss
Star – jewel found at my local fashion district in Downtown Los Angeles
Flowers – found at my local fashion district in Downtown Los Angeles
I marked the bassinet’s scallops with my Sharpies fine points – sold at Office Depot – new Caribbean colors.
I embossed the bassinet with my Cuttlebug hearts folder.
Used 3D-Dots to glue the bassinet to the card.
